Greetings! We are Dialogue in the Dark Malaysia (DiD), a Social Enterprise founded in 2013. Our vision is to equip and empower those suffering from blindness to become productive members of society.
Since our establishment, we have trained and employed over 30 visually impaired Malaysians who are currently serving as DiD Guides, Facilitators and Coordinators, all to enable them to move towards a different and more positive career paths.
In our continuous effort to prevent unnecessary loss of precious sight, we also provide early intervention assistance to diabetic patients through our Sight Guardian and Simply See nationwide programmes, in addition to numerous other events.
As such, we are honoured to invite you to a very special charity dinner event entitled ‘Cuisine Theatre in the Dark’, where you and your Guests will be treated to an eye-opening culinary adventure of taste and sound, all in complete darkness.
With a minimum donation of RM 5000 per table, you and 9 of your guests (table of 10) will get to savour an exclusive menu designed by the amazing blind chef Christine Ha, Winner of MasterChef U.S Season 3 at: Venue : Hotel Maya Date : Friday 21August 2015 Time : 7.00pm – 10.00pm
Your kind donation will also help us conduct Eye Checks at 30 National level Schools in collaboration with My Kasih Foundation. In addition to conducting free eye checks, we will also be giving out free Visual Aids such as Spectacles to the needy children. Attached along with this letter is the list of the 30 Schools. In appreciation of your kind donation we will name your Company as one of the Sponsors in this meaningful community project to reduce unnecessary blindness among our children !
